Marko Anttila

A tall and strong forward, Anttila has learned to use his size to his advantage. He protects the puck well and is able to make room for himself. Anttila is also a good skater for a player of his stature - he has decent speed and is hard to steal the puck from. Anttila possesses a hard wrist-shot, though his release can be slow and he occasionally struggles with accuracy. He has good physique but tends to struggle finishing long shifts, which can be costly due to turnovers and weak backchecking. Anttila is good in the defensive zone and can take passing lanes away by using his long stick, and can be used on powerplay as well as penalty-kill. (Matias Strozyk, 2011)
