An athletic and agile goaltender with excellent quickness and lateral movement. Tabaracci relied heavily on his reflexes and mobility, at times at the expense of his technical game. He was also capable of handling loose pucks effectively around his crease.

He is one of the most talented goaltenders in the NHL in terms of his agility and quickness.
