In his 16 years as a professional, Seppo Ahokainen played for three clubs only. He won the Finnsh SM-Liiga five times in his career and added two championship titles with Austrian Klagenfurter AC. Furthermore, he played 162 international games for Team Finland, including seven world championships and the Olympics in 1976. In his three seasons in the Austrian league, Ahokainen scored 204 points (92 goals, 112 assists) in 103 matches, his overall record in the SM-Liiga are 366 points in 434 games for Ilves and Tappara from Tampere. Seppo Ahokainen was introduced to the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 1993.
