Cousin: Brian Skrudland
Pederson was selected 18th overall in 1980 after scoring 140 points with the Victoria Cougars. He played his first full season with the Bruins in 1982 and scored 44 goals and 92 points. He set career highs in 1983 with 46 goals and 1984 with 116 points but only played 22 games in 1985 after having surgery to remove a tumor. Pederson recorded 3 straight 70-point seasons from 1986-88 and won a Stanley Cup with the Penguins in 1991. He retired in 1992 with 238 goals and 654 points in 701 games.
