Brother-in-law: Rick Ley

Lever was selected 3rd overall in 1972 after scoring 126 points with the Niagra Falls Flyers and winning the OHL's Red Tilson Trophy for most outstanding player. He scored 38 points the following year as a rookie for the Canucks. He later set career highs in 1975 with 38 goals and 1982 with 69 points. Lever reached the 45-point mark in 9 seasons and retired in 1987 with 313 goals and 680 points.
