PLAYER BIOGRAPHY AND TRIVIA

On March 8, 2004, Moore was attacked from behind during a game by then-Canuck Todd Bertuzzi. The incident left Moore with a a concussion, facial cuts & three fractured vertebrae in his neck. Due to continued complications from the injuries, Moore was forced to retire. Brian Burke, who was GM of Vancouver at the time of the incident, offered Moore a contract to play for Anaheim - whom he'd assumed GM duties for in 2005. Moore declined & was never medically cleared to return to the ice.
