Player Biography and Trivia
The Fort Frances, ON, CAN native Guy LaFrance played university hockey with the Fighting Sioux from the University of North Dakota. In three seasons and 93 games he recorded a total of 93 points and was part of the team which won the NCAA National Championship in 1959. In 1965 he joined Austrian Klagenfurter AC and won the championship title in the Austrian league, which was introduced just this year. Remarkably, he appeared in only four games of the season, as his club was under the league's rules allowed to dress him only in games where the opponent team had an import player on its roster too.
