Kaleb Collins

A big-bodied defender who is a new addition for us at Neutral Zone. We watched him compete for FCA Hockey 2011 and we liked his aggressiveness on the back end. He used his size and his physicality to his advantage, crushing opposing forwards and canceling rushes multiple times using his length and strength. He was aggressive at the blue line to take away time and space and he was also aggressive on the offensive end, attacking the zone with powerful strides moving north in straight lines. He also kept his head up from the back end, which allowed his teammates to fly the zone and he would hit them with the long stretch pass. His ability to influence the play in the defensive end was his greatest attribute, as there were not many quality opportunities happening on his side of the ice as several players looked to skate away from him fearing the physical reciprocity.
