Cult/Star player for Mora IK

Official Games Team Sweden: 28 A

Moderklubb: IFK Rättvik men spelade större delen av sin aktiva tid för Mora IK.

Efter en konflikt med Moras klubbledning flyttade Folke till Leksands IF för spel under två säsonger. Detta uppmärksammades stort kring Siljansbyggden då övergångar mellan de båda klubbarna ansågs omöjligt.
- Jag kallades allt möjligt i tidningarna har Folke låtit sig berätta men anledningen till att jag spelade för Leksand var att jag gjorde rekryten i Falun och hade inget körkort. Men Leksand kunde ställa upp och hämta mig och det kunde inte Mora.

Folke Gustafsson var en s k poängmaskin som alltid fanns högt uppe i poängligorna.

Det blev även 28 A-landskamper men inget VM- eller OS-deltagande.
Debuterade i Tre Kronor 1949 mot Sveriges ungdomslandslag.

Varvade ner med spel i Falu BS, Stora/Skedvi IK, Vikarbyns IK och Hälsingårdens AIF.
Avled 2010.
