Player Biography and Trivia

Rob Gribbin, a Providence firefigher and an amateur goaltender, served as an emergency backup for the Providence Bruins in 1992-1993 and 1999-2000. He replaced Mike Bales between the pipes in the third period in a game the Adirondack Red Wings on 10 January 1993. He stopped the two shots he faced during his eight minutes of play in the AHL.
