Från plantskolan Wifsta/Östrands IF och kom att bli en av klubbens viktigaste offensiva spelare under många år. Syntes ofta långt fram i målskytteligorna för klubben.

Debuterade i Tre Kronor tillsammns med sin bror i Helsingfors 1959 med att få stryk av Finland med 1-4. Tredje länk i deras kedja var matchens enda svenske målskytt Sune Wretling.
