Mångårig profil och stor målskytt hos Forshaga IF i division 1. Krigade ofta i toppen av klubbens interna målskytteliga tillsammans med världsmästaren från 1957 och 1962 "Nisse" Nilsson.

Debuterade i A-landslaget 1951 mot Finland i en match som spelades hemma i Forshaga. Sverige vann med 3-2 efter ett hat-trick av lagkamraten Hans Adrian. Sven spelade för övrigt i en kedja med Birger Adrian och Olle Johansson.
