Debuterade i division 1 för Forshaga IF men gjorde även flera bra säsonger från sin backposition tillhörande Grums IK.

Spelade bara två a-landskamper. Det var ett dubbelmöte med Finland säsongen 1958/59. Sveriga vann de båda mötena med 8-2 (i Södertälje) och 6-2 (i Västerås) och som backkollega i debuten hade Sääker Torsten "Hacko" Pettersson från Grums. Men i andra mötet så klev den blivande världsmästaren från Strömsbro IF, Bertil "Masen" Karlsson in som back bredvid Sääker.
