Mångårig målfarlig forward hos Alfredshems IK och senare MoDo AIK.

Spelade även med Tre Kronor under fyra tillfällen. Debuterade i landslaget säsongen 1960/61 i Borås mot Norge. Sverige vann med 6-1 och Nordström spelade ihop med de båda Hammarbyarna Anders "Antik" Johansson och Tommy "Blomman" Blomqvist.
