It starts with Sawyer’s mechanical foundation. He extends his knees past his toes, engages his hips, and drives his recovering leg forward instead of kicking upwards. That provides a stable base for puck control. In nearly every viewing, he broke a set of ankles with a quick feint before attacking space.
