Powered by a deep skating stance with edge-to-edge quickness and explosive turns, McGregor puts himself in the middle of every play. He wins races for loose pucks, passes through the forecheck or slices through himself, and then joins the rush. Turnovers and mistakes never deter him – he recovers and then immediately goes back to looking for a play. That confidence plays a key role in McGregor’s offensive game, too. He jumps off the point and looks for backdoor passing options or walk-in chances.
