Player Biography and Trivia

Matt lost his lower left leg to cancer after playing in the AJHL, but became a member of Canada's National Sledge Hockey team which competed in the 2006 Winter Paralympic Games in Turin. He had a recurrence of cancer, in his lungs, that prevented him from playing in the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver.

Played as a LW in ice hockey, but played D in sledge hockey.
