Anton Blomqvist Facts

Drafted: 2009 round 6 #167 overall by Columbus Blue Jackets

A big defenseman with good mobility. Blomqvist has fine positioning, good enough hockey sense and adequate puck skills. Stands out in his own end, where he likes to play physical and deliver big hits. Was somewhat inconsistent while playing junior hockey, but stepped up several notches as he was introduced to men's hockey.

Brothers: Albin Blomqvist, Axel Blomqvist
