Josef Eichler Facts

Player Type: Heavy HitterPhysical Defenseman
Agency: Premium

There’s no denying there’s preferential treatment for bigger, more physical players – and those with a special element. Josef Eichler has that. He doesn’t mess around. Opponents enter his space, he tries to take their heads off. He throws bone-crushing open ice hits, beats down opponents along the boards, and engages in – and tries to finish – every scrum. He’s a reasonably solid defender too, when he’s not inflicting punishment. -EliteProspects 2024 NHL Draft Guide
