A large stay-at-home defenseman who likes playing a physical brand of hockey. Is an asset on the penalty kill with his size and reach. Possesses a hard, but not very accurate, shot from the point. Can be used at wing on an energy line.
Doesn't offer much on offense in addition to his big shot. Isn't a great puckhandler. Needs to cut down on the unncessecary penalties. (EP 2010)
