Artem Kopot, the first Russian ever drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins, was killed in a one-car accident near his home in Chelyabinsk, Russia. Penguin spokesman Harry Sanders said the team learned Thursday that Kopot was driving alone when he was killed.
