Reed Larson Facts

Larson was the first American defenseman to score 200 goals. He was selected 22nd overall in 1976 after scoring 42 points and winning an NCAA Championship with the University of Minnesota. He scored at least 17 goals and 58 points in each of his first 9 seasons in the NHL and captained the Red Wings from 1980-82. The 3x All-Star retired from the NHL in 1990 with 222 goals and 685 points in 904 games. He won a Lester Patrick Trophy in 2006.
