Cult/Star player for Army (U.S. Military Academy)

McKelvie signed with the Boston Bruins in the summer of 2009 after he was granted a one year leave by the U.S. Army. However, in October 2009, the Army reneged on the decision and has told McKelvie he had to serve for two years in the Army before being granted his leave.
