Cult/Star player for Brynäs IF

"Bylle", som Lars Bylund kallas, är en så kallad egen Brynäsprodukt. Han var en liten och mycket spelskicklig back. Kan även beskrivas som lugnet själv och som besatt mycket goda ledaregenskaper, både på och vid sidan av isen.

Var med under hela Brynäs storhetstid från mitten av 1960-talet fram till början på 1970-talet och vann totalt sju SM-guld under sina tolv säsonger med Brynäs IF.
Bör klassas bland Brynäs tio bästa backar genom alla tider.

Var med under 19 A-landskamper med fjärdeplatsen i VM 1966 (Ljubljana) som höjdpunkten. Där spelade Bylund oftast tillsammans med tidigare lagkamraten Lennart "Lill-Strimma" Svedberg.
Övriga backar som Bylund hade att konkurrera med i Tre Kronor vid hans enda VM-turnering var Roland Stoltz från Djurgården och de båda modoiterna Nils "Nicke" Johansson och Ulf "Älgen" Torstensson.
