Sandell is a rugged offensive minded forward. Primarily a winger, but has also seen ice time as a center. His large frame and strength make him formidable along the boards and in the slot. Has a good set of hands and is a fast skater despite his rugged build. Not a particularly good shooter, but works hard to score goals. Could improve defensively. (EP 2014)
