Jake Martin Facts

Martin’s value primarily comes from the defence, particularly rush defence. He keeps forwards outside the dots and seals them off early using tight gap control. He defends the blue line aggressively and tries to stop opponents from earning early zone entries, as well. Whether he’s defending face-to-face or pivoting and surfing across to manage risk, Martin’s tough to beat. -EliteProspects 2021 NHL Draft Guide

In the defensive zone, he has an active stick and takes away options and passing lanes
