Matthew Virgilio Facts

Player Type: Mobile Defenseman

Virgilio takes away the middle very aggressively to let the attacker take the outside. He steadily tightens the gap, then accelerates to close the gap and kill the play. Quick feet and heavy hits allow him to match opponents’ footwork, thunderously kill plays, and make clean escapes on retrievals. -EliteProspects 2024 NHL Draft Guide
