Able to catch and release in stride while off-puck, MacPherson’s singular separating tool is his shot. Off-puck he’s a proficient supporter, moving into pass lanes, looking for one-touche shot opportunities. The same simplicity is present when operating off the cycle. Forechecking and puck retrieval efforts highlight some of his best effort-plays.
