Cult/Star player for Peterborough Petes

Michael Edward "Mickey" Redmond was forced to retire at just 28 years of age after suffering permanent damage to a nerve running from his back to his right leg. He is currently a color analyst for Detroit Red Wings games on FSN Detroit.

On January 13, 1971, Redmond was traded to the Detroit Red Wings along with Guy Charron and Bill Collins in exchange for superstar Frank Mahovlich.
