We're just a week out from the 2025 NHL Entry Draft and the only real consensus seems to be at the very top.

Matthew Schaefer and Michael Misa have cemented themselves as the top two prospects in this class, forming a clear-cut tier above the rest.

After that? It’s wide open.

There’s a second group of six or eight strong candidates who project as potential top-of-the-lineup assets, but how they stack up depends heavily on what traits you value and how confident you are in long-term projection. Some scouts lean on size and raw tools, others on IQ and production. You won’t find a lot of agreement.
