Insights on the U.S. NTDP Under-18 roster with new head coach Kevin Porter

It’s going to be a fascinating season for the Under-18 National Team Development Program.
For starters, there’s a new head coach, former assistant Kevin Porter, while there’s also been some roster shuffling with new additions after a handful of players left the program for CHL teams after their under-17 season.
For Porter, who was an assistant coach for the under-18s last season, it’s an exciting opportunity, he said, to build something with a mix of skill and grit amongst the group.
“It all feels like a really nice combination. It’s a group that can move the puck well, and I think there’s some real skill that can come together,” Porter said. “We kind of get things going for camp next week, and we kind of get to see how it all builds.”
