Elite Prospects 2025 NHL Prospect Pool Rankings: No. 29-ranked Dallas Stars

Dallas StarsArticle limited to subscribed members

The Stars topped out at 29th in this edition of our rankings, mostly due to the graduation of Mavrik Bourque and Lian Bichsel to NHL roles, as well as the team’s later and fewer selections at the 2025 NHL draft.

Their system still contains many talented prospects who could break out, like Cameron Schmidt, Emil Hemming, and Christian Kyrou. The younger of the three and the team’s first selection at the recent draft, Schmidt has more runway left and could shoot up our NHL-affiliated rankings with another strong season in the WHL.

The Stars also collected some high-floor players over the last couple of years, signing them out of college or Europe. They could fill roles on their bottom lines in short order, serving as injury replacements or role players.
