Fantasy Hockey Feature: Berkly Catton is worth the price of admission

Berkly Catton has had an exceptional draft-plus-one season. But the questions remain. As a smaller forward, there have always been skeptics as to his true NHL upside. Can he be a number one center? Will he have point-per-game seasons at the NHL level? 

Catton was drafted eighth overall by the Seattle Kraken in 2024. The Elite Prospects team had him rated as the eighth best skater, so the team was in line with what the Kraken saw. The team raved about his dynamic puckhandling ability, which is clearly his best attribute, but also saw his skating, hockey sense, and passing as great. There was some worry about his lack of physicality, but it wasn’t enough to lower his ranking too much. The biggest question the team had was whether it would translate to the NHL, which remains to be seen.
