The game between the Colorado Avalanche and the New Jersey Devils on Thursday finished 3-1 (0-0, 3-0, 0-1). The result means Colorado Avalanche has eight straight wins in the NHL.

Colorado Avalanche has extended their lead in their division to 114 points, while St Louis sits 16 points back.

The first period was scoreless.

The Avalanche dominated the second period, receiving goals from Logan O'Connor, Andre Burakovsky and Artturi Lehkonen.

In the third period, Jesper Bratt scored 12 minutes into the third period, assisted by Pavel Zacha and Nico Hischier, closing the gap for the Devils. The 3-1 goal would be the last one of the game.

Colorado Avalanche improves to 54–14–6, while New Jersey Devils drops to 26–42–6.

So, Colorado Avalanche is still the league leader and New Jersey Devils is in seventh.

The teams play their next games on Saturday, April 6. Avalanche will host the Carolina Hurricanes at 9 p.m., and Devils will visit the Seattle Kraken at 10 p.m.
