If one wants to have the full Lane Hutson experience, his games against the Florida Panthers on 30 March and 1 April are the ones to watch. He displayed all of his offensive talents in those games—shaking defenders one-on-one, making deceptive passes to teammates on the power play, and attacking low in the zone to complete cross-ice feeds.

His transition game was also on point. He carried the puck out and passed it perfectly on multiple occasions, springing rushes and tic-tac-toe plays. When passing lanes closed, he found creative ways to get the puck to teammates—lobbing it above forecheckers, using the boards, and placing passes in space, in spots that his team could access but not defenders.
