NCAA championship recap: Denver remakes the magic, claws back another title

David Carle and Mike Hastings saw this movie before. But like any remake of a classic, the ending doesn't change.

Back in 2022, Carle's University of Denver team met Hastings' Minnesota State team in the national championship game, and the latter dominated it. Shots were heavily tilted in MSU's favour, and they led 1-0 after two periods. But Denver dug deep and ended up scoring five third-period goals en route to the NCAA title.

Now at Wisconsin, Hastings may have changed teams in the intervening years, but he couldn't change the script.
