NCAA Weekender: BU, UMass hoping for more consistency

Recapping the biggest stories of the NCAA weekend.
Boston University and UMass come into the second half needing, quite badly, to get it going.
Both played exhibitions last weekend, in large part because they still had so many players on international duty.
For the Terriers, Sascha Boumedienne and Cole Hutson played big roles for their respective nations at World Juniors. Boumedienne scored the gold-winning goal for the Swedes and Hutson, when healthy, was the focal point of the US game plan.
Hutson, who missed Saturday's game for precautionary reasons, is the well-known engine of BU's offence, but it will take getting Boumedienne and others going to really push the team forward. A strong performance at World Juniors sets him up to take that next step.
