Boston University coach Jay Pandolfo was just about fed up. Every few weeks for most of the second half, he'd give a quote along the lines of this statement after the Beanpot championship: "It's disappointing that I can't get this group to just play the same way, shift after shift."

The Terriers exited that tournament on a streak of six games without a regulation win, and only earned a split against UNH the following weekend. But with a scheduled bye week, Pandolfo thought it was time for a reset.
