NCAA Weekender: The splits will continue

Recapping the biggest stories of the NCAA weekend.

Two themes really emerged in college hockey this weekend. Or rather, they continued emerging long after many would have liked them to be sorted out.

The first theme is that many teams are having trouble finding consistency from one night to the next. Once again this weekend, there was a bunch of splits across the country including some very notable upsets, and coaches continually say that they just can't get consistent results, even if they like how their team plays, which itself obviously isn't always a given.
