Tracking the 2025 Class: Early NCAA progress for James Hagens, Porter Martone, and Cole Reschny

Several 2025 NHL draft prospects either returned to or moved to NCAA Division I hockey for the 2025-26 season. With several months of post-draft play to evaluate, the tape is already offering more explicit pictures of where each player is progressing, where their NHL projection has sharpened, and where they look like they need additional work. 

I wanted to take some time to check in with a few players that came out of the 2025 class and are cutting their teeth in college hockey this season: Porter Martone (6th overall, Philadelphia Flyers), James Hagens (7th overall, Boston Bruins), and Cole Reschny (17th overall, Calgary Flames).
