Who should win the 2025 Tim Taylor award? And who will?

The Tim Taylor award is given annually to the freshman who is the most outstanding in the country.
Over the years, it has become a great predictor of future NHL talent, especially as more young players started playing in college hockey at 17 and 18, rather than 18, 19, or even 20. Based on what we've seen since October, it's hard to believe this season will be any exception.
However, judging who's truly in the running is a little complicated; this award is voted on by the nation's Div. 1 assistant coaches, and they do not release a shortlist. In fact, this year, they didn't even put out an annual "watch list" of a few dozen players which they have done in the past.
