Most prospects improve in their draft season, but few see their game improve exponentially.
Matthew Coronato is one of the few.
Instead of taking a moderate step forward after last season’s impressive 40-point, 0.89 points-per-game rookie season, Coronato went nuclear. He outpaced last season’s scoring with just goals per game. And if 0.97 goals per game aren’t impressive enough, he added 0.69 assists.
As a result, Coronato’s draft stock exploded, going from a potential top-64 pick to a near-lock for the top-15.
