The year is 2021. 

The New York Rangers have just drafted Brennan Othmann 16th overall at the draft, and heading into the upcoming season, the future looks exceptionally bright for the Blueshirts. 

​2020 first overall pick Alexis Lafrenière is entering his rookie year, joining the previous year’s second overall pick, Kaapo Kakko. Following a strong season in the KHL, the team’s ninth overall pick in 2018, Vitali Kravtsov, is also preparing to make his debut in blue, white, and red.
