Ranking the NHL's top 20 affiliated goalies ahead of the 2025-26 season

It’s time to look at the goalies.  

After unveiling our top-100 affiliated skaters earlier this week, we are doing the same thing with those who man the crease. 

We’ve also expanded the project a bit from 2024, where we had a one-person goalie department, and ranked 15 affiliated goalies. 

I’m happy to announce that Hadi Kalakeche and Jacob Titus have started scouting goalies for Elite Prospects, working closely with our head goalie scout, Sean Shapiro, and will be a big part of evaluating the position going forward. 

Like our skater ranking, this project is ranking on projected value in the NHL. This is not a list of the top-20 young goalies right now, it’s a list of the 20 we believe, with feedback from NHL goalie coaches, that have the best chance of being impact players at the position.
