Elite Prospects 2025 Trade Board: the pitches, potential fits, and profiles of top targets

We're about two weeks out from the 2025 NHL trade deadline, and that means it's time to rev into high gear with speculation and matchmaking.

The market this year has a little bit of everything, whether you're looking for a promising rental, some interesting players with term, and a wide array of high-risk, high-reward options in-goal.

I've tried to create a reference guide for almost all of the players, putting together a list of 40 names that are in play at this year's deadline, complete with some bite-sized analysis on what they might bring to the table for their new team. This includes a snappy one-sentence pitch and then something a little more in-depth for each player involved, informed by metrics such as TopDownHockey's Wins Above Replacement model and AllThreeZones' microstats as well
