EP Rinkside 3 stars for Week 4 of the NHL season

Hey, it’s the end of the fourth week of the NHL regular season. As the league strives to get back to the business of hockey — with levels of success you would probably call varying — recent events certainly transpired to help everyone focus on CapFriendly.com pages and the on-ice product.

Disastrous media availabilities aside, this was actually a pretty fun week of hockey in the NHL. Multiple four-goal games, plenty of entertaining overtime periods, a trade you might have heard about, and more all came together to ensure fans had plenty to cheer for in the wake of the league’s nastiest off-ice week since, what, the last lockout? At this point, it feels almost like a welcome reprieve from last week’s miserable revelations.
