Ken Holland doesn't want to 'screw it up,' but can he improve the Kings?

"A little bit here, a little bit there. A little bit here, a little bit there."

In his introductory press conference as the brand new general manager of the Los Angeles Kings, Ken Holland said that was what he felt his job is, having taken over a 105-point regular-season team that cannot stop losing to the Edmonton Oilers once it becomes the postseason.

Perhaps not coincidentally, that's the team Holland ran before taking a year off and, then, this Kings job. Team president Luc Robitaille, who played for Holland in Detroit from 2001-03, said he chose Holland to rehab the Kings roster — which everyone involved seems to think is pretty close to being able to go on a deeper run — in large part because Holland knows what it takes to win.
