Scout Paul Henry breaks down how his scouting process helps identify European talent early

The average hockey fan may not be familiar with Paul Henry, who is one of the most unique people in the sport. 

Formerly a prison psychologist and still a sports psychologist, Henry was the Canadian Olympic team’s Director of Hockey Operations for the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway. He spent five years in the Florida Panthers organization, first as an amateur scout, and two years as their Director of Player Development, and another two years with the Phoenix Coyotes in the early 2000s.
