Take Town: The more things don't change

Saw earlier this week that Sidney Crosby hit a threshold that means he will officially end the season with at least a single point-per-game rate. He’s done that every single season of his career, which ies Gordie Howe for second-most point-a-game seasons ever, only two behind Wayne Gretzky. And when you put that into the context of:

  1. Howe did it 17 times in a 26-year career, and

  2. Gretzky did it at a time when half the league was hitting 60 points at least once or twice in their careers

And so we say to Crosby, “Wow, you are pretty good.” We simply do not say it enough, I guess.
