What We Learned: The Toronto Maple Leafs should blow it up

Same as it ever was.
Well-earned disrespect for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the handshake line gave way to respect in the handshake line. The positive of getting out of the first round quickly became the negative of getting absolutely obliterated in the second round, but at least this time around (as long as you ignore another first-round loss last year) they pushed the Florida Panthers to seven games.
All this talk that they were different, mentally and spiritually, with new coach Craig Berube allegedly instilling some of his own hard nosed personality, always felt like wishful thinking.
